Vertical Systems Analysis, Inc. is an established consulting firm in the United States of America and has provided design and engineering expertise to numerous clients since its inception. Over the years, our company has evolved with the changing times and the needs of our clientele into a top notch engineering firm with state-of-the-art design and reporting methods and equipment.
Our design and consulting experience has run the entire gamut from providing engineering and design services for complex elevator/escalator systems (New York Methodist Hospital) and performing elevator surveys and audits of prestigious and Landmarked properties such as the Flat Iron Building (175 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY), apartment Cooperatives and Condominiums, to public transit structures.
Company History
In the mid 1980's, after spending over a decade in the elevator industry, starting as a mechanics helper in the elevator workers union and moving up the ranks, Mr. Edward Voll had experienced most of the aspects of the elevator industry from an installation, repair and a troubleshooting standpoint. At that point in time, he felt that he could not accomplish his goals of changing the mindset of self preservation that was rampant in the elevator contracting industry while he was an integral part of it. It seemed to him that elevator contractors were only concerned about their bottom line as opposed to the safety and well being of the riding public nor were they concerned about the owners viewpoint.
With years of experience behind him, Mr. Voll decided to start an elevator engineering and design firm with absolutely no ties to contractors, that would not only serve the owners and managers of the buildings but also the riding public. Mr. Voll felt that he had the intellectual wherewithal to start Vertical Systems Analysis, Inc. (VSA) for the purposes he had in mind. From humble beginnings and the encountering of various stumbling blocks along the way, VSA has come a long way in serving clients needs. As a positive result, VSA grew steadily over the years in sales and as a consequence, increased staffing.
The firm has expanded in principals and employees. Our staff of twelve can service any project, large or small. Our field personnel and staff have a combined experience of over a century in the industry. Regardless of your type of question traction elevators, escalators, moving walks, dumbwaiters, hydraulic or water units come into play, there is only one viable source for answers, Vertical Systems Analysis, Inc..
Let us take you to the top, smoothly, effortlessly.
Ed Voll on what makes VSA different from any other elevator consultant:
"We have never, and will never work for or take money from any elevator contractor. We standby our accomplishments and integrity is one of the principals VSA was founded on. We will continue to keep our clients best interests in mind, and in doing so, can not afford to have an elevator contractor as a client."
